These terms form the agreement between you and SeyApp Technologies (Proprietary) Limited (“SeyApp”, “we”) when you use the SeyApp application. Please read them. By creating an account or making a booking, you accept them.
1. What SeyApp is
SeyApp is a platform. We connect you with independent third parties who provide the service you book: licensed taxi drivers today, and in future restaurants, grocers, home-service professionals and car hire companies.
SeyApp does not provide transport, prepare food or rent vehicles itself. The provider who accepts your booking is an independent contractor, not our employee or agent. Our role is to operate the platform, take payment, and support you when something goes wrong.
2. Your account
You must be at least 18 to hold an account, and the information you give us must be accurate and kept up to date. Your account is personal to you: keep your credentials confidential and tell us promptly if you think someone else has access.
We may suspend or close an account that is used fraudulently, unsafely, or in breach of these terms.
3. Bookings
All bookings depend on a provider being available and accepting them. A booking is only confirmed once a provider has accepted it. Until then, nothing is agreed.
4. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in Seychelles Rupees (SCR).
You see the price before you commit. For rides, we quote a fare upfront based on the route you enter, and that is the fare you pay unless the trip itself changes, for example if you add a stop, change the destination, or the driver waits for you beyond the included time. Any such change is reflected in the final amount and itemised for you.
If you pay by card, we place an authorisation hold on your card when you book. A hold is not a charge: it reserves the amount with your bank. We take the payment when the service is complete: when your trip finishes, or when a merchant or company accepts your order or booking, depending on the service. If your booking is rejected, cancelled or expires unaccepted, the hold is released. Your bank may take a few business days to show the released funds.
For car hire, a separate refundable deposit hold may be placed when the vehicle is handed over, and released when it is returned.
If you pay in cash, you pay the provider directly at the end of the service, and the amount is the fare shown in the app.
5. Cancellations
Rides. You can cancel free of charge before a driver accepts, and for a short grace period after. Cancelling later, once a driver is already on the way to you, may incur a cancellation fee, which is shown to you before you confirm the cancellation.
Car hire. Every hire company operates one of three cancellation policies set by SeyApp. The policy that applies to your booking is displayed before you book and on your booking confirmation:
| Policy | Free cancellation | Fee after that |
|---|---|---|
| Flexible | Until 24 hours before pickup | 20% of the total |
| Moderate | Until 48 hours before pickup | 30% of the total |
| Strict | Until 72 hours before pickup | 50% of the total |
Before a hire company has confirmed your booking, cancellation is always free. Nothing has been taken.
Food, groceries and home services. Cancellation is free until the provider begins preparing or travelling to your order. These services are not yet available.
6. Refunds
If a service is not delivered, is materially different from what you booked, or you were charged incorrectly, contact us and we will investigate. Where a refund is due we return it to the original payment method. Cash payments are refunded by other arrangement.
7. How you must behave
You agree to treat drivers, providers and their property with respect, to comply with the law, not to use the platform for anything unlawful, and not to attempt to interfere with, reverse-engineer or overload the service. We may refuse service to anyone who does not.
8. Provider responsibilities and our liability
Providers are responsible for the service they deliver, for holding the licences, permits and insurance their activity requires, and for the condition of their vehicles or premises.
SeyApp is responsible for operating the platform with reasonable skill and care. We are not liable for the acts or omissions of independent providers, nor for losses that were not foreseeable, nor for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
9. Complaints
Tell us. Most problems are resolved quickly. See the Support page. If you are not satisfied with our response, you retain any rights you have under Seychelles law.
10. Changes
We may change these terms as the service develops. We will update the date at the top, and where a change materially affects you we will notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use SeyApp after that means you accept the change.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Seychelles, and the courts of Seychelles have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
